IFS
stands for...

Internal Family Systems
IFS is a way of understanding our connections to our Self, our parts, and their role in our relationship to others.
It is an open hearted model that recognises we are all made up of multiple parts or experiences. Some of our experiences feel free and happy and some can feel very uncomfortable and burdensome.
IFS recognises that by turning inward towards our parts and listening carefully, we can (sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly) communicate and offer them love, connection, understanding...and healing.
As you may know it is a mission of mine to share and teach adults and children in a fun and adventurous way - so below is one of many more stories to come.
This fairytale is co-created by myself and the wonderful
Ann-Katrin Bockmann and is based on how beautifully
we protect parts of our internal family and the second movie-book below invites you to learn even more about IFS and parts.

I illustrate the old fashioned way, using very lovely, white
hot-pressed paper, pencil, ink and watercolour paint.
(I use a rubber quite a lot too!)
I then scan in my illustrations, play about a little in photoshop, record the narration (at least a dozen times!) choose some music and sound effects, then ask my partner Matt very nicely to help me bring this fairytale to life...just so I can share it with you.

I really hope you enjoy it!
Do check back because as well as more
IFS movie-books to come I am also about to produce a set of Parts Meditations for children (and child parts!)
This is the actual dip pen and cute little ink jar that I use to outline all my characters.
And these are my
favourite watercolour
paints and brushes!
